Competition Schedule

GDC is a competitive dance studio that endeavors to teach students of all abilities. For those students that wish to challenge themselves to a higher level, dance competitions are held locally and nationally. Children can compete individually, with a team, or both ways. Auditions for competitive dance teams are held in early September and train several times per week. The children strive to excel in their routines, and compete against other children of similar backgrounds and age. It makes for good fun, and teaches discipline, focus and hard work. Parents of each dancer can become actively involved in their children’s routine and troupe, and engender a very close relationship between the other children, and their parents.

This will be posted as the dance year advances. We are planning on competing in:

• Showstoppers
• IDC (International Dance Challenge)
• Showbiz
• Dance Rave and Team Rave
• Starbound

In the past, Nationals are held at the Disneyland Hotel or in Las Vegas at the Convention Center.
